Millie the Osterich
I made this little gal when I was at a dragon boat competition sitting in the grass under a tree. She was made with W&N water colour on canson paper.

About this painting:

This was my first attempt at using masking fluid, I loved it was so much fun to peel the dryed fluid off, but i waited up for 2 hours for it to dry because I could'nt wait to paint it :) another piece that I did in the early hours of the morning.

THE SELF

The Self- a persons essential being that distinguishes them from others
I did this painting in my newly set-up studio when we moved into our place in edmonton alberta. I wanted to try out using stencils and some new techniques I had learned so I started with a wash and spritzed it with water. then after letting it dry i added a small wash of yellow ocher in some spots then got to work with my stencils from The Crafters Workshop and Tim Holtz. I used gel medium and mixed in some colour using lindy's stamp gang magical mica's to apply over the stencils.

THE NUMBER 8

A friend of mine just bought a beautiful new home and really liked my number 7 and wanted a piece of art made by me that he could purchase. So I custom made this to match their home and they loved it thank god!!! Was made on a 20x20' canvas used some Prima flowers and Lindys sprays
also some other scrapbooking pieces such as Tim Holts gears.
THE NUMBER 7

I became obsessed with any number with 7 in it for a while after we moved to Alberta, and it was in a lot of my art for a while.
This piece was done over the course of a month and I have been told the style is called assemblage.I picked up a lot of the parts at a re-store and on job sites also there is scrapbooking pieces such as prima flowers and wooden letters & buttons.

Colour Therapy Canvas:
When I lived in edmonton there was a time when i started to feel kinda depressed with all the snow and blandness of winter so i wanted to make a painting that was bright and colourful that would make me feel better..so this is was came to life from that, It is on a 45x62 inch canvas done with watercolour and Lindys stamp gang Starburst sprays.

Tree Frog:
I wanted to do a painting for my mother for her birthday and she loves frogs so at 1 in the morning I finally got started, I find i do my best work in the early morning hours! This was done with W&N water colour and tons of Lindys magical Micas and the yellow is a Lindy's flat fabios.
